Designer

Based in Paris, Florence Bourel is a French designer. She graduated in product design and interior architecture in France and Italy (ESAG, LISAA and Istituto Europeo di Design) and has been working since 1998.

Passionate about designing orientation and information programs applied to cultural heritage and the arts, she collaborates with prestigious graphic design studios on important signage projects: Intégral Ruedi Baur (signage for the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris), studio Des Signes (signage for the Palais de la Découverte or the Château de Fontainebleau). She also designs scenographies and interior layouts for public institutions or private clients, notably for 27 rue Jacob, the event space and bookstore of the publishing houses les Arènes and the magazine XXI.

Since 2012, Florence Bourel is fully dedicated to the design of furniture and objects. She collaborates with many brands and editors such as Hermès, Désio, Flam&Luce, La Fibule, Kilims Ada, Le Monde Sauvage, Serax, Saint-Louis, Toulemonde Bochart... Her first collections combine graphic and pure lines, raw materials, colored vibrations and traditional weaving techniques, in a "craft" spirit.

With a solid background in product design as well as in interior architecture or scenography, she uses her mixed heritage of Brittany and Africa to create her style where color and timeless and contemporary graphics emerge.
