Joan Cinca is a Spanish designer born in Barcelona in 1974. From the age of nine, he nurtured the dream of becoming a designer. He obtained a degree in engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, as well as a higher diploma in design from the Barcelona School of Architecture.

Later, interested in the world of business, he obtained a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Pompeu Fabra University. After more than four years in the automotive industry, he decided to move into product design with Oriol Guimerà at the Tactica studio. Over the years, their collaboration grew stronger and they decided to set up their own product design studio, called Guimeràicinca.

Joan Cinca continues his activity by creating a new studio brand, Laproduqtora, which offers product design and technical development services to help bring innovative products to market.

Alongside his professional work, Joan Cinca teaches at several design schools, including Elisava, Istituto Europeo di Design IED, the Terrassa School of Art and Design, and collaborates with La Llotja College of Art and Design.

He currently works with international business-to-consumer companies, providing support in creativity and design management. Joan Cinca has also contributed to collaborative projects with Font Barcelona, notably in the development of the 5.1 and Bridge switch ranges, demonstrating his versatility and expertise in various areas of industrial design.
