Perico Pastor is a painter and an illustrator, who established his studio in Barcelona. He did his military service in the Sahara and then immigrated to New York. He stayed for about twelve years. His illustrations have been published in many magazines: Harper, Village Voice, Vogue, and especially the New York Times. This enabled him to plunge further into painting. He had his first exhibit at the Cornelia Street Café in 1980 and, in 1983, his first exhibition in a gallery: Stamps in Madrid. Until 1989, he combined illustration and painting in New York and Barcelona with exhibits all over the world. He now lives in Barcelona and devotes himself entirely to painting. Perico Pastor has traveled half the world, finding in his path a multitude of admirers, not looking for a loyalty to a doctrine in art, but rather looking for the spontaneity of feelings.
