Andrea Branzi is an architect and designer born in 1938 in Florence, Italy. He graduated in 1966 and has lived and worked in Milan since 1973.
From 1964 to 1974, he was part of the Archizoom Associati group; the first internationally renowned avant-garde group, whose projects are now housed in the Study Centre and Communication Archives of the University of Parma. Thanks to his talent, his thesis and several projects are kept at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
He is also co-founder of Domus Academy, the first international design school to graduate.
He then wrote several books on the history and theory of design, and has curated numerous exhibitions in this sector in Italy and abroad. In 1994, he received the Compasso d'Oro or Golden Compass, one of the most influential international product design awards, for his career.
