Carlo Colombo is considered to be one of the most important Italian architects and designers. He has designed for top level brands right from the start of his career and has collaborated with hundreds of the most important design names of ‘Made in Italy’: Antonio Lupi, Arflex, Artemide, Cappellini, De Padova, Flou, Flexform, iGuzzini, Moroso, Poliform, Poltrona Frau, Teuco, Varenna and Zanotta, to mention just a few. In addition to furnishing products and design, Colombo works with strategy and marketing companies, developing graphic projects and curating exhibitions. He also works as a consultant and artistic director. His projects, which initially focused on general and interior design, gradually extended their scope to include all sectors of building in Italy and abroad. In 2004, this architect won the Designer of the Year Award; in 2009, he won an international competition with his plans for two multi-purpose towers in Abu Dhabi and, since 2011, he has taught architectural design at the De Tao Masters Academy in Beijing. Of the many awards he has received, suffice to remember the Elle Decor International Design Awards in 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2011, and in 2009 the Good Design Award from the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and The Chicago Athenaeum, in 2012 he won the Red Dot Design Award and in 2014 the Best of the Best at the Red Dot Design Awards, the Interior Innovation Award, the Design London Award and the IF Design Award with Teuco. Today his firm works on large-scale interior design and architecture projects all over the world.
