Cristina Figarola is a designer born in 1962 in Barcelona, where she currently lives. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Cuenca in 1995.
After devoting several years to painting and sculpture, she decided to devote herself to the design and production of lamps, in search of a useful facet of artistic activity.
In love with utilitarian ceramics, of a formal and elegant simplicity, she explores her transformation into artistic objects, free of their original utility. The utilitarian ceramics of great beauty, put out of context, are transformed into abstract geometric figures.
