Discover the world of Danish designer Kasper Friis Kjeldgaard!
After graduating from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Design in 2016, he is known for his extraordinary and poetic world, which has already been featured in leading design magazines around the world.
Driven by the desire to create a composition that makes sense, Kjeldgaard continually seeks to expand the definition of design through his own work.
In a poetic world of balance and suspense, Kjeldgaard explores and communicates aspects of nature, such as friction and gravity. In the process of making, each object takes shape on the metal lathe, continually striving to learn new techniques and test new materials. Kasper Friis Kjeldgaard's work has a refined expression and a clear focus on craftsmanship. His objects do not hide anything, but expose their inner workings, ready to be decoded.
Kjeldgaard's work has been exhibited at Mindcraft in Milan, The Curio - Chart Art Fair and the Patrick Parrish Gallery in New York, among others. He collaborates with many brands such as Fritz Hansen, for whom he designed the minimalist pendant lamp Oneline.
