Luca Nichetto was born in Venice in 1976, where he studied at the Art Institute. He then attended the University Institute of Architecture of Venice (IUAV), where he obtained a degree in industrial design.

He began his professional career in 1999, designing his first Murano glass projects for Salviati. The same year, he began his collaboration with Foscarini, for whom he designed products, but also worked as a consultant on research into new materials and product development (2001-2003). In 2006, he launched his own design studio, Nichetto & Partners, specializing in industrial design. In 2011, he also opened another office in Stockholm, Sweden.

Over the course of his career, Nichetto has received a number of international awards, including the Gran Design Award (2008), the Good Design Award from the Chicago Atheneum Museum of Architecture (2008), the IF Product Design Award (2008) and Elle Decoration's International Design Awards (EDIDA), etc. and Elle Decoration Italy named Luca Nichetto "Designer of the Year 2013". IMM Cologne invited Luca Nichetto as a "guest of honor" and offered him the opportunity to present his vision of the perfect home for the "Das Haus- Interiors sur scène 2013" project.

Today, Nichetto collaborates with a wide variety of Italian and international companies, including: Berga, Bosa, Casamania, Cassina, David Design De Padova, Discipline, Established & Sons, Fornasarig, Foscarini, Fratelli Guzzini, Gallotti & Radice, verre, Globo, Italesse, La Chance, Lodes, Roi, Kristalia, Mabeo, MG Lab, Moroso, Offecct, Ogeborg, a Nordic Furniture Company, Petite Friture, Salviati, Skitsch, Skultuna, Tacchini, Venini and Zero.

He is the creator of surprising luminaires combining psychedelic spirit and elegance, such as the Jefferson, Aile, Croma and Peas facile collections by the famous Italian brand Lodes.
