Michele De Lucchi was born in 1951 in Ferrare in Italy. After its architectural studies, he becomes a designer and architect very recognized. He designs lightings and furniture for Italian and European companies.

Michele De Lucchi worked for NTT (Japan), Deutsche Bank (Germany), Novartis (Swizerland), Telecom Italia, Poste Italiane, Piaggio (Italy),…
He draws models for museums like the Milan Triennale museum, and also for private and public projects in Georgia (the Ministry of the Interiors and the Bridge of Peace in Tbilisi).

In 1990, Michele De Lucchi creates its Prodzione Privita first enterprise. In 1987, he designs the Tolomeo lamp for the Artemide Italian lighting house. With this collection, he wins the « Compasso Oro ADI ».
In 2000, he is decorated by the Italian President Ciampi for merits in the field of design and architecture. Then in 2001, he becomes Full Professor at the Faculty of Design and Arts of the University Architecture Institute of Venice. And, since 2008, he is Full Professor at the Faculty of Design of the Milan Polytechnic and a Member of the National Academy of San Luca in Rome.
