Rudy Ricciotti was born in 1952 in Kouba (Algeria). Engineer and architect, he graduated from the Geneva School of Engineering in 1975 and the Marseille National School of Architecture in 1980.

He has led many projects such as the National Choreographic Centre in Aix-en-Provence (France), the Nikolaisaal in Potsdam (Germany), the Museum of Contemporary Art in Liège, the Festival Palace in Venice and the Gateway to Peace in Seoul.

In 2002, he was appointed to carry out the flagship project of the Museum of Civilizations of Europe and the Mediterranean (MUCEM) in Marseille. The building has become one of the visual identifications. It is from this building that Rudy Ricciotto imagines the lamp “Mais plus que cela je ne peux pas” (“But more than that I can't”) published by Nemo Lighting.
