Sofie Refer is a designer graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2003. She has collaborated with some of the leading design brands of the world. She works as the main designer of the design lamp brand Nuura.
Sofie Refer finds her inspiration from Scandinavian design traditions. Moreover, she leans on the respect for nature, balance of simplicity and extravagance, and different shades of the Nordic light. She is convinced that lighting is the most crucial and powerful aspect of any environment.
Her creations have been awarded with prestigious international design awards such as the Good Design Award and Wallpaper Design Award.
