Wall lamp, Birdy Swing, white, H24cm, L53cm - Northern
Birdy is a timeless design in wall, floor and table versions, conceived by Birger Dahl in 1952 in a modernist style.
This series of luminaires was produced and sold by the Norwegian electricity company Sønnico (Oslo) for many years.
In 1954, the table lamp, then known as "S-30016" was awarded the esteemed Gold Medal at the Milan Triennale.
In 2013, Northern Lighting decided to relaunch this classic edition, taking care to preserve the original shape and highly functional features that gave this lamp its charm. The sconce is available in off-white or matte gray with satin nickel finish, and matte black with metallic brass finish.
The Birdy sconce has become a design icon, and would be perfect as a space-saving wall-mounted bedside lamp, in a hallway or other room.
